On the 12th, I left Rapid City and headed south to Colorado Springs, Colorado. After a night of working on my blog and dining with my hosts, I headed to bed early. The next morning, I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection before I started driving through the mountains. After my car was done at the shop, I rounded up some one dollar bills, wrote encouraging messages on sticky notes, and headed to Dollar Tree to hide them throughout the store with the intent of brightening up people’s days! With an unusual amount of customers and an excessive amount of workers, it was a struggle to hide the money throughout the store, but once I put a giant bottle of Sunny-D in my previously empty basket, nobody suspected a thing!
On the 14th, I headed to Santa Fe, New Mexico to stay with the Christian Brothers. Before I arrived at their residence, I stopped at the Loretto Chapel, home of the Miraculous Staircase. The mystery surrounding the staircase is amazing. It is worthwhile to look into it! After saying some prayers in the chapel, I met up with the Brothers for dinner. The next day, I spent most of my time scanning old photograph slides so that the Brothers would have digital copies of them.
Thank you to the Souders for hosting me. Thank you to the Dollar Tree employees for not reporting me as a suspicious person. Thank you to the Christian Brothers for hosting me. And thank you to all of you who continue to pray for me and support me!
