Hi Everyone!

My name is Luke Kubic. I am a recent graduate of Saint Mary’s University of Winona, Minnesota. Now that I have graduated, I plan to tour all fifty states, volunteering in every state along the way. The trip will span from August 1, 2015 to March 1, 2016, and will include 62 stops along the way! In order to make this trip a reality, I need your help! Mission Statement
My mission is to make a positive impact on the world and inspire others to do the same.

Inspiration
During my junior year of college, I spent my Spring Break on a mission trip, serving at the De La Salle middle school on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Browning, Montana. The trip focused on assisting students who needed additional help in the classroom, in a community where education is not highly stressed. Outside of the classroom, the group of 12 other students and I spent time exploring the surrounding area. Making a difference, making new friends, and exploring a new area combined to make up one of the most enjoyable weeks of my life.  After my mission trip to Montana, I started to think about how I could turn that week long experience into an everyday experience. That is when I came up with the idea of Caring for the Country.        

Timing
After you graduate college, you’re expected to get a job right away. It may not be enjoyable, but it’ll pay the bills. Rather than follow in everyone else’s footsteps, I want to blaze my own trail. Life is too short to pass up on special opportunities. I’d rather say “I tried” than “I wish I would have tried”. Now is my chance. Before a job consumes me, a family depends on me, and age starts to wear my body down, I want to go on this journey. You never know when you will meet someone that will change your life. And you never know when you just might change theirs.
